FAQ
Questions about your crossword
How the trivia form works, what’s personalized vs filler, and what you receive as a digital PDF.
During order you choose style, personalized-answers package and grid size (with a live total). Then you’ll get a private trivia form: favourite movies, pets’ names, inside jokes, places, dates, hobbies and any words that must appear. For Picture formats, photos help too.
No. You share the trivia. We pull potential answers from your form, do our best to fit as many as possible into the puzzle, and write fun, not-too-challenging custom clues for each chosen answer (e.g. “Name of your favourite TV show.”).
We do our best to fit all the personalized words you share — aiming for your package minimum (6+, 10+, 20+ or 30+). Not every detail always makes it in, and there will also be some ordinary (non-personal) filler answers so the crossword grid can connect.
Picture formats place clues (and photos) inside the grid, so they have less room for answers than Classic. We still do our best to hit your 20+ or 30+ target, and the order form requires a larger grid (17×17 for 20+, 20×20 for 30+) so that target is realistic. Classic can fit higher packages on a smaller grid.
Picture is a visual crossword with clues — and optional photos — inside the grid. Designed Picture is the same format plus a designed solution area that appears when the puzzle is solved (heart, initials, milestone number, star or similar motif). Want the motif without photos? Choose Designed — traditional clues with a designed solution shape.
Classic uses a traditional numbered Across and Down format and usually fits more personalized answers on a standard 15×15. Picture places clues (and optionally photos) inside the puzzle. Both are personalized from your trivia and delivered as digital PDFs.
Designed keeps a classic-style grid (no photos) but filled answers reveal a motif — heart, initials, milestone, star. Designed Picture adds that same motif to the Picture format with in-grid clues and optional photos.
You choose the grid during order. Standard is 15×15. Compact 11×11 and 13×13 options print with bigger letter boxes (great for seniors / large print). Larger grids (17×17, 20×20, 25×25) cost more and leave room for bigger packages — especially for Picture formats.
Yes. Choose the Seniors / large-print occasion (or visit /seniors). We recommend Classic with a compact 11×11 or 13×13 grid and A3 or Tabloid paper so letters stay easy to read. Fewer cells = bigger boxes on the same page.
Yes. Picture and Designed Picture can use your photos as visual clues. Only a few fit inside the grid (typically up to about 4) — extras can sit under the crossword on the PDF. JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 10 MB each, max 8 files per order.
Digital delivery only: a finished PDF of the puzzle you can print, plus an answer key. Business orders can include multiple output files when needed.
Yes. Print at home or at a local print shop. Share your preferred print size when ordering and we’ll design the PDF accordingly.
No — the product is digital only (PDF + answer key). Printed fulfilment can occasionally be discussed for larger events or business orders, but it is not part of the standard offering.
Standard timing is 5+ days with no rush fee. Need it sooner? Choose 3-day rush or next day on the order form. Delivery timing starts when you submit the trivia form — tell us your target date and we’ll auto-suggest the matching rush option.
Yes. Business crosswords can include brand colors, logo integration and commercial use. Pricing starts from €199.
Minor tweaks are usually fine after the first draft — for example spelling, a name, tone, or swapping in a must-have detail. Larger changes (new theme, replacing many answers, redesigning a motif or the grid) often mean heavy rework and may not fit the original order, or may need a fresh quote. Tell us what you need and we’ll say what’s realistic.
